{ INFINITE EFFECT 2016 Vancouver } Fan Account + Photos & Videos

Wow. I literally didn't realize how long I've neglected my blog ;A;

It's okay though cuz I'm back!!!

Today I wanna share with you guys my experience attending Infinite's Infinite Effect 2016 concert in Vancouver on January 7th, 2016 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

Now if you know me, you know that I freaking love Infinite. I've been a fan of them since 2011 which means it's been about 5 years now. They're my absolute favourite group in K-pop and honestly getting to see them live is a dream come true. Seeing them live has been on my bucket list for a good couple years, so you can imagine how psyched I was when I found out in mid-November that they were coming to Vancouver as a part of their tour :D

It was like 3am and I was browsing my phone/Instagram before going to bed and I just flipped out when I saw this. Of course, I could not for the life of me fall asleep that night. It was incredible! After being a sad international fan with no chance of seeing them live for so many years... my chance had finally come!

VIP tickets were super limited (I believe there was about 80 in total, 3-4 rows from the front of the stage would be considered VIP) and they went on sale a couple days before regular tickets did. My friend and I decided that we'd try and go for the VIP tickets, hopeful to land some really good seats (if not the front, then nice and close like maybe 2nd - 3rd row?)

The morning of the ticket buying came: I was on my laptop, my friend and her sister were also on two separate computers as we scrambled to get tickets. Low and behold.. her sister was able to get us 2 tickets, right in the centre of the front row. I couldn't believe it. We scored those tickets! They sold out in about 10 seconds (that's what I heard, I was too slow so I honestly didn't even get to see the ticket selection page LOL). Now that I think about it, we were extreeeeeeemely lucky to get those tickets. I knew a lot of people wanted them so they were in high demand... even now I sort of can't believe we were able to get our hands on them, it's crazy! Anyway, the countdown had finally begun.

Over the next month or so, I was just busy finishing my semester at school and working a seasonal retail job so I barely had time to enjoy Christmas, a holiday I love so much, let alone freak out every single day about getting to see Infinite soon. It was just in the back of my mind since I had so many other things to do.

Right around Christmas time, a wonderful group of fans who created a "fan event" group on Facebook for Vancouver Inspirits gathered for a meet-up. I attended for the short while I could before I had to go to work, but from them I pre-ordered an Infinite lightstick to use at the concert and met a couple fans too.

Isn't it so pretty?! When I met other fans and got my lightstick, it was finally starting to feel real that I was going to attend this concert...

The creators/leaders of the fan event group decided they'd do a banner event in which banners were to be distributed to every person attending the concert and we'd hold up the banners during their very last song (also their encore), which is a song called "Together" or "함께". It was released as an OST for their movie "Grow".

There were also t-shirts being made to order for our concert by some other fans, the design was personally made for Vancouver Inspirits.

My friend and I both ordered one each and wore them to the concert :)

-----

To prepare for their arrival, I wanted to get some gifts for the members and hand them the gifts when they arrived at the airport.

Since I'm not made of money and can't afford 7 awesome gifts for every single member (xD),I ended up just getting a couple for my favourite members: Sunggyu and Woohyun.

I got them each a snapback cap and a beanie, all from a store called "DIPT" which carries the "VANCITY" brand that I thought would represent Vancouver well :D I also made some chocolate chip cookies for them and put all these gifts into one bag.

The top two were for Sunggyu and the bottom two were for Woohyun.

On the back of both snapbacks, I embroidered a character from their name in Korean ^__^

I wanted to photograph them just in case they wear them and there's photos of it hahahahaha...

So finally, one day before the concert, Infinite arrived in Vancouver. It was January 6th, 2016 and a bunch of us fans waited at the airport for them to arrive. Of course, my friend and I were also there! I managed to snap a couple photos, most of which didn't come out nicely AT ALL, but at least I ended up getting a couple... Their flight arrived at around 10:30 but they didn't come out until around 11:20.

Here's Dongwoo and Sunggyu behind him, they were the first to come out.

Dongwoo was honestly like a ball of human sunshine. He smiled SO BRIGHTLY at us once he walked out of the exit and saw all of us fans. He took all the presents everyone had prepared for him, so his hands were full. Probably because he studied abroad in Vancouver for a bit when he was younger, but it seemed like he was extremely happy to be back in the city :)

Everyone followed them out the door, and when Sunggyu got to the end of the walkway before the door, he was free so I went up to him and personally handed my present to him :D It was amazing. I still can't believe I was able to see him in person and hand him my present! Haha. He seemed quite tired and quiet though. I mean they did just get off a ~10 hour flight, so it would be odd if they weren't tired. Well except for Dongwoo lol, he was just bursting with energy.

I also snapped a photo of Woohyun! This is honestly the only in-focus photo I got at the airport T_T I'm really proud of it hahahahhaa

So when they first walked out, Dongwoo, Sunggyu, Sungyeol, Woohyun and Sungjong were altogether. Dongwoo was very smiley and energetic, I even saw videos of him conversing with fans haha. There's a video of him talking to a fan saying that when he was 15, he studied in Vancouver. Someone also asked him if he likes girl groups (LOL) in which he replied "I don't like girl groups" hahaa. That cute little conversation was also captured on video ^o^

I personally didn't really get to converse with them at all, but this group of 5 had to stop and wait for the cross walk, so they stopped in between the exit of the arrivals and their van for a bit, where some of them talked to fans and some people got some awesome photos cuz they were standing still! I saw a video of Woohyun saying something along the lines of "oh I must be very popular here!" and there was a fan who said "yes you're very popular!". Although I'm not 100% sure because it was all in Korean and my Korean isn't that good (yet lol). Sunggyu was quiet and so was Sungjong. Sungjong kept pushing his hat down to hide his eyes/face. I think he must have been really tired. There was a girl who yelled "Sunggyu yeppo!" (Sunggyu is pretty) and Sungyeol copied her and said "Sunggyu yeppo!" in a mocking (but still adorable) tone lolol. That girl captured it on video too and I got to see it. It was magical :P

When the hoard of fans followed these 5 outside the door, we noticed that Myungsoo and Hoya were no where to be seen. Some fans stayed outside and waited near their bus/the driveway but a couple of my friends and I went back inside because we realized that Myungsoo and Hoya were probably still going to come out of the door soon.

It was funny because by the time we went back inside and waited for a bit, there weren't nearly as many fans waiting inside anymore lol. So a couple minutes later, Myungsoo (L) walks out and people hand him gifts. I heard someone say hi to him in Korean and he responded back with a very cute "oh annyeong!" (oh hi!). I think he was kinda glad there weren't as many fans surrounding him, but he seemed to be in pretty good condition.

Here's one I got of Myungsoo, but it's blurry D: you can still tell it's him though.. hahhaa... and of course he would be wearing a black toque xD what other colour would he wear :P

couple minutes after Myungsoo came out, Hoya came out of the arrivals door too. He had his coat's hood on but he accepted presents and greeted fans too. Sadly, I didn't get any good photos of Hoya even though he was the last to come out :( the only ones I got of him were of his hood xD

All the members took every present that us fans prepared for them, and I heard from another friend that when they got into their van, they still had a bit of time, so one fan asked "does anyone have any more presents?" and people handed them presents until the very end. So I think they got all the fan presents that day ^^

So after the airport, I went over to Aberdeen mall with 2 of the girls and we had lunch and bought some stuff from Daiso to make fans/posters for the concert the next day.

I ended up buying a fan and decorating one side for Sunggyu, one side for Woohyun ^_^

Credit to original fanart owners ^^

I'm really proud of how it turned out XD Aren't they cute?!

It took me a couple hours, but I'm so glad I made it to support them at the concert :3 (Btw if you're wondering, I printed the photos of them out haha I didn't draw them!)

After finishing everything for the concert and after all my preparations, I looked over some of the fanchants and stayed up until around 5:30am just listening to their songs in preparation for the concert >_<

-----

The next day was finally concert day! I met up with my friend around 3pm, since she wanted to go and buy some gifts for Infinite too. So we met up, did the shopping, went to the bank to grab cash for the merchandise, and headed for the venue. It was maybe 4:30 when we got there, but there were already a couple people standing around, waiting. There were a couple fansite masters sitting around selling their goods in packages too. I ended up buying a Sunggyu package from Miss Cham who I briefly chatted with and found out she's from Hong Kong! She was speaking to someone else in Cantonese, which I can speak and understand so I asked her if she's from HK and she said yes. She also said there were a lot of Chinese people in Vancouver, lol. I hope she enjoyed her time in Vancouver, I kinda wish I stayed to chat with her some more, but my friend and I decided to head to the downtown library and hang out there for a bit instead of staying outside the venue to freeze.

Here's the package I bought from Miss Cham ^^

I especially love these two because eye contactttt <3

So at around 6, after we finished eating, we headed back to the venue, and this time, there was a looooong line up and TONS of fans waiting for the concert.

There were several fansite masters sitting around, all selling their merchandise, and there were tons of people passing out banners. Sadly, I only ended up with 3 banners (the best supplied and most popular ones).

I didn't actually end up using the first one since I already had a lightstick and a fan in my hands (not to mention my phone for taking photos/videos >.<). The middle one was meant for their last song "함께/Together" at the very end, and the bottom yellow one was for Woohyun's solo stage!

Luckily, my other friend was already in the line-up, really close to the entrance. So around 6:30 (when VIPs were to be let in, regular seating started at 7), we heard them announce there was a separate line up for VIPs on the other side of the door, so we scurried over.

Soon, we were let in and lead to the right side of the entrance inside the venue after they scanned our tickets and gave us VIP lanyards/tags.

Lanyard/tag + ticket (I want to get the ticket laminated so I can keep it forever xD)

Us VIPs (so total around 80 of us) were promised a couple things for VIP tickets:

- One reserved ticket in rows 1-3 on the floor

- Commemorative VIP laminate and lanyard

- Exclusive INFINITE gift

- Early entrance into the venue

- Crowd free merchandise shopping 30 minutes before the venue opens

*This VIP Experience does NOT include any Artist participation.

To our disappointment, we stood in that hallway for around 20 minutes before rumours of them not having any merchandise circulated. Turns out the merchandise was stuck "at the port" due to problems with customs/entering the country. So there we stood, sad VIPs who paid only a little short of $300 to have no merchandise to shop for and have no "exclusive VIP INFINITE gift" :( It's an understatement to say that we were disappointed. So the regular ticket holders started coming in, and we tried to find a company staff member to talk to about the exclusive gifts/merchandise; and of course, we weren't able to find anyone so we just decided to settle into our seats. The company in charge of the event was called "Dilemma", which is a Mexican company, which may explain some of the messy organization and clumsiness of the event.

Anywho, while we enter the venue and find our seats, Infinite's music videos were being played on the screen to hype up the audience for the start of the concert.
Soon, the lights turn off as they play their "Bad" music video and we all sat down and got ready for their entrance.

After "Bad' ended, they showed a trailer for "Infinite Effect" similar to this one that they uploaded to YouTube a couple months back:

After that, their shadows appeared behind the curtain with spotlights on each one of them, the lights flashed and the curtains dropped.

They appeared as we all screamed our heads off and they started with "BTD".

Of course I didn't film every single performance ;___; but there are fancams all over YouTube!! Hahaha

Why why~~ why why~~~~

It was freaking amazing seeing them perform this song right in front of my eyes. I became a fan of them after they released "BTD" so it's a really meaningful song to me :') Their dance is seriously so synchronized and the scorpion dance was unrealistically awesome +_+

After "BTD", they went straight into "Paradise".

Hahahah yes~ I know I had an awesome view xD I'm really regretting not filming these performances in full, but honestly I really wanted to just enjoy the concert and soak it all in~

You can see even though we were in the front row, there were security guards walking between us and the stage to make sure we stayed a bit away from the stage and to maintain a distance between us a the artists. It was annoying cuz they kept distracting me from enjoying the stage but I just blew it off cuz honestly, Infinite was right in front of me and I just didn't care!

After "Paradise" they went into their third song in a row, " 내꺼하자/Be Mine"

After that, they stopped for a short introduction where Dongwoo tried to speak English to us as much as possible (he's such a hilarious and hyper dude!!). They said they had a lot of fun the day before roaming around downtown and Granville Island. Myungsoo said that if we want, they'll come back to find us often (THIS BETTER NOT BE A LIE MYUNG!) and also Hoya prepared a little English comment for us in which he thanked us for worrying about his leg injury and said he feels much better now since he worked hard at rehab exercises (fighting Howon oppa! be safe and don't get injured again!).

Woohyun was waving to the people on the second floor/balcony during introductions xD SO CUTE

Next was a short dance intro where they were split into 3 groups (I only managed to capture 2 of them >.<)

And then they performed "Destiny".

Next they performed "Tic Toc" which was AWESOME of course! I managed to capture that last part where Sunggyu goes into a higher note, which is my favourite part of the song :D

Then they stopped for another talking session where Woohyun started talking about their "Reality" mini album. He asked us what our favourite song on the album was, and I screamed "LOVE LETTER!!!" then he pointed at me and asked "Love Letter"?
My friend and I were seriously dying at this moment cuz he noticed me LOL And then I made a heart at him. I was seriously lucky but I found someone who actually caught this moment on video because I wasn't recording during most of the talking segments!

That's me in the very front with the black hair and black shirt, holding a lightstick and my fan XD My friend is on the left in the white :D

After that, they performed "발걸음/Footsteps", which I sadly don't have any footage from ><

"Love Letter" (yes my favourite song off their Reality album lol) followed, and I loved it so much.

I actually have a video I accidentally continued recording of this same performance haha. There's no video, but you can hear them singing the rest of the song & all the fan screams :P

My phone was in my pocket and I didn't know I accidentally pressed the record button hahaa...

"마주보며 서 있어/Between Me and You" was next... (btw I totally apologize for any ugly singing sounds you might hear in my videos LOL I really like to sing along >.<)

They stopped for a little break and another "Infinite Effect" video played on the screen. Then it was time for solos/sub-unit performances!

Woohyun was up first.

He sang an unreleased solo song called "Everday". During his stage, we all held up our yellow banners. I looked back once during the performance and it was just an ocean of yellow banners. He looked really happy that we did a little event for him :) I found out later that it was a Korean couple who organized this; apparently the wife is a huge fan of Woohyun and her husband helped to make/distribute the banners! How cute is that?! Haha~

Sadly I didn't get a video of him performing, but I did snap some pretty photos!

Infinite H was up next and they performed "바빠서 Sorry/Sorry I'm Busy" and "예뻐/Pretty".

I filmed their entire performance so enjoy :D

Sunggyu performed "Kontrol" next and it was glorious! My friend took a video of it and I only caught some photos cuz I wanted to enjoy his performance since his solo album from last year was one of my favourite things EVER!

And this little video here.... lol :P

After Gyu came Infinite F with their super happy and fan-service filled performances of "가슴이 뛴다/Heartbeat" and "My Girl".

This is when they started handing out/throwing stuffed animals out to fans! Sadly my friend and I had no luck with these xD But I caught Sungyeol giving a fan a plushie on video!

This was the period of the concert where the crowd got realllllly uncontrollable and crazy. I guess because they started doing lots of fanservice towards the fans - taking their phones for photos/videos, touching hands, giving out plushies - obviously fans would get excited. But the problem was a lot of fans ran up to the stage and a lot of the VIP ticket holders got their front spots taken by people in rows behind them, and even perhaps non-VIPs. My friend and I got nudged out for a bit, but luckily we got our spots right in front of the stage back and we stayed there. As you can tell, the security guards were no longer able to walk between the crowd and the stage, so they just sort of gave up and stood around us after this point. My friend and I did get to stay at the front luckily, but a lot of people ended up pushing us so we were sandwiched between the stage and the people behind us which wasn't a lot of fun....

Regardless, we continued to enjoy the concert~

After Infinite F's performance, they showed us the original version of the "Last Romeo" music video that Myungsoo starred in. Afterwards, Infinite sang their unreleased song called "For You". The Japanese version just came out on their newest Japanese album by the same name, "For You".

Myungsoo was clearly having so much fun during this song... lol

After "For You" came "Nothing's Over" which is another one of my favourites. It was such an adorably happy performance and they did a lot of fanservice during this song too!

They continued with the super happy and fanservice-y songs with "맡겨/Entrust".

I tried to take a couple selfies with Sunggyu when he was in front of me during this song, lol. But of course they didn't come out well. This was the best one I got :( and of course I cropped myself out xD

And near the end of the song, Hoya took a selfie with my phone!!!

He was right in front of us, but took a girl to my left-side's phone, and he stayed there. There were a bunch of girls holding their phones up to him but I suddenly stuck my arm up and I guess it caught his attention because he took my phone from my hands right away, took a selfie and handed it back to me! IT WAS MAGICAL. I was soo so sooooo extremely lucky ^__^

After the concert, a girl posted a photo she took of Hoya taking a selfie with my phone on the Vancouver Inspirit Facebook group, and I recognized it as my phone so I put the two together XD

Credits to an extremely kind and awesome Haylen Berry for the left photo :D
THAT'S MY PHONE RIGHT THEREE HAHAHAHA

Also I found this via one of Hoya's fansites called "HOGAM" but they captured my fan in their shot!!! XD Look at the Namstar right there LOL LOOK!

The next song they sang was "Cover Girl" and sadly I don't have any footage of it (probably because I was so freaked out about getting a Hoya selfie on my phone that I was just kind of frozen there LOL)

But that's when they started flying these paper airplanes with the members' signatures on them! Each airplane had one member's signature. I managed to get one with Sungjong's signature on it!

"엔딩을 부탁해/Take Care of the Ending" was next.

And then "Moonlight" which I didn't get a video of, but it's honestly one of my favourites out of ALL their songs ^^

Hoya was so close to us!!!!

Here's someone else's fancam (credit to original owner) because I just love the song so much ;__;

They stopped for another talking segment after this to talk a little bit about their solo/unit stages. Dongwoo was super hyper (again LOL) and Woohyun thanked us for the banner event we did for him. Sunggyu also talked a bit and thanked us for knowing his album even though we're so far away from Korea :3 They talked a bit about the music video and Myungsoo did his Myungsoo thing and said he's "our Romeo" xDDD

Afterwards, we could feel the concert was slowly coming to an end because they performed two of their most popular songs, "Back" and "추격자/The Chaser" in that order. I didn't record either of these songs because they were so awesome, I was just busy standing there and soaking up all the Infinite I could with my senses LOL

Can you save~ can you save meeeeee~~

They stopped for another brief talking session where they thanked everyone who made the concert possible: every member of their live band sitting behind him and performing instruments while they sang and dance, all the staff members, the Infinite members themsevles, and Vancouver Inspirits~

"Bad" followed and boy was it a CRAZY stage. Everyone was so hyped and singing along -- needless to say, it was a breathtaking experience.

After this, they left the stage and there was a short video shown (the ending of the Infinite Effect trailer video thing). I only caught a short snippet of it on video, but here it is~

Then we started chanting "encore" and "다시돌아와" (Come Back Again). They came back soon and performed "다시돌아와/Come Back Again". Again, no video from here, but here's a fancam
credits to the original owner :D

Their dance was seriously so so so synchronized, it was CRAZY!

They stopped after this again for their last little comment time. They thanked us for being an awesome crowd since it was their first time in Canada, and they said they would be back ;~; (really hope they will be soon!!). Woohyun said we were all lovely and he asked if he was too, to which we of course responded with tons of screams and "YES"s haha. He was busy doing his fanservice-y thing as usual and Dongwoo sassed him by saying "are you done?" in English. It was glorious and so funny!! Then he said "my turn" and told us a bit about his prior experience in Vancouver. He said when he was 15, he came to Vancouver (specifically Coquitlam) to study (and play Starcraft with some of his friends LOL). He said the city is just as beautiful as he remembers it, and that next time they come, we will all surely stay beautiful like the city too. (He's so cheesy but so good with words lol <3)
Yeol saved his first English words of 2016 to use on us as he said "if you ever cheat on us, I will chase to you to the end of the world" LOL. I feel so lucky that he saved his English words to use on us xD

Gyu said that now it's 2016, he gained another age :P and he thanked us for him being able to come to Canada for the first time in his life :)

Here's the fancam - credits to the original owner!

During this talking segment, Woohyun kneeled down and started posing for some of us right in front of him, so I snapped some photos and they came out SO CUTE!

Here's a super hd one xD

kissy kissyyyy~~
He was so smiley <3

Then they introduced their last song for the night, "함께/Together". I was actually tearing up and crying during this song because it was so amazing and I just really really didn't want it to end :(
Luckily, I still got a short video clip of it though!

With the crazy crowd behind me, there was no way my friend or I could go back to our seats to grab our banners that were meant for this last song without having our spots taken, so we just stayed in our spots >.< So sadly, that banner didn't get used by us :(

After the song ended, the members got together, bowed, stood around a bit and walked across the front of the stage to high-five/touch fans' hands as a thank you. Sunggyu left the stage first before any of the other members but then they started to follow him. Woohyun was the last to leave - he lingered on the stage and even when he was really close to the curtain on the right side of the stage, giving us hearts and waving to us... I think he really didn't want to leave T_T And we didn't want him to leave either!

Then the concert was over :( Everyone packed their things and we headed outside while the security started telling people to leave the venue. They started cleaning up the venue right away.

When we got out, we thought we'd stay near the exit to see if we could catch them leaving; also because my friend didn't get a chance to give them her presents! But sadly we couldn't catch them >< I stayed there for about an hour in the cold waiting, but it turned out that they left like immediately after the concert; some fans saw them leave by another door. *Sigh* it was sad because I wanted to catch a last glimpse of them :(

-----

The next day was extremely painful - both physically and mentally. I was sore all over from waving my lightstick during the whole concert and standing (while fighting to keep my spot at the front of the stage =.=) and overall I was just depressed that this concert I anticipated so much was over. I didn't leave the house that day and totally regretted it because some fans spotted Myungsoo, Sunggyu, Hoya, Sungyeol and Sungjong downtown >_< I wish I went downtown that day! *Sigh*

The next morning, fans waited at the airport early in the morning to see them off. I totally could have gone but I didn't because it was really early in the morning and honestly, I just wanted my sleep. They arrived at the airport at around 7, greeted some fans as they took more photos/videos and even gave out some autographs! I was so jealous >_< I kinda wish I had gone... but it's all in the past now, lol.

-----

So. Some concluding thoughts?

1) First and foremost: the concert was AH-MAZING. It was much MUCH better than I ever could have imagined. Infinite is incredible at performing live. I really don't know how they do it; singing all those songs almost non-stop, along with performing some challenging choreography but they still stay amazing and consistent throughout the whole thing. These boys work really hard and they deserve all the success they've garnered up until this point. They make me proud to call myself a fan.

2) The boys were all amazing. Dongwoo is EXACTLY how he is on tv and in shows. His personality is undeniably and unapologetically bright and bubbly. It's impossible not to fall in love with him after seeing him in person. The first time I laid my eyes on him at that airport arrivals exit, I knew he was the real deal. His smile was so wide and he greeted us so cheerfully - he really is one of the best personalities in K-pop<3. It's almost like he has an indispensable supply of energy - how can someone ALWAYS be so happy and bubbly?! I feel like he was raised very very lovingly and nurtured by anyone who has ever entered his life.
I really appreciate him trying to use English to communicate with the fans whenever possible. It's clear that he struggled with the language, which is why I want to applaud him further for challenging himself to speak a language he's not fluent in. We all love you so much Dino oppa! Never change and never stop being you :)

Woohyun has this incredible ability to make fans feel so loved, special and appreciated. He's exactly like what I heard too. His fanservice and love towards his fans is so awe-inducing and inspiring. You can really tell that he genuinely loves what he does and is extremely thankful for the continued opportunities to sing and perform on stage. I feel like he really does appreciate every single fan. During the concert when he was thanking us and he said that we're all lovely, I honestly believe it with all my heart because he comes across as such an authentically loving guy. When he looked at us during the concert... I don't know how else to describe it, but it was like his eyes were dripping with honey. He stared at us with such love and appreciation, it was really, really touching.
I'm so thankful for the interactions I had with him during the concert! He smiled and laughed at my "Namstar" fan so I think he was happy to see it :P Every time I think back and remember when he was in front of me and made eye contact or had some sort of interaction with me, I get all giddy and it instantly brightens up my mood :) This is exactly why he is one of my favourite members of Infinite :) Oh, and of course who can forget his honey vocals! This boy can SING! He was busting out high notes consistently throughout the whole concert so effortlessly. I heard he got a bit sick when he went to LA then went off to Mexico though. I hope he takes good care of himself :( It would really really suck if any of them got sick during all this traveling to different countries...

Myungsoo is like a little kitten - haha! He's really, really adorable. And I loved it so much when he went full on dork-mode on us by calling himself our "Romeo boyfriend" and saying that he had so much fun shopping in Vancouver :P I really hope he took a lot of beautiful photos of our beautiful city and we'll be able to see them in L's Bravo Viewtiful part 3! :) He also promised to come back to Vancouver so I'm going to hold him accountable to that! lol.

It was a pleasure hearing him sing in person. I still remember he used to be that member whose voice cracked and was sort of unstable during live performances, but I can tell he's worked really hard to get to where he is now - even being the main vocal of Infinite F and pulling off all those high notes! :D

Hoya gives off a pretty stern impression - but I think he was extremely sweet for preparing some English comments to say to us. Even though he stuttered a few times, I think his English was really good! I think if he ever continues to learn it, he'll improve really fast :) He was never hesitant to approach the fans and get closer to them on stage, and I'm going to be forever, FOREVER grateful that he took my phone and took a selfie with it <3 It's such an awesome souvenir to have from the concert :D He's full of charisma and he was definitely born for the stage. Him and Dongwoo during their Infinite H stages commanded the stage like it was nothing! And all the fans were so hyped up too~ their energy is so addictive!

Sunggyu is my favourite member alongside Woohyun in Infinite, so I'm kinda disappointed that he didn't come to the middle/right part of the stage much >< I honestly don't think fanservice comes to him very naturally like it does to Woohyun XD But still, he was a joy to see in person. He seems like a very strong and level headed person who also knows how to smile at fans and show them that they're appreciated. Hearing his voice in real life was a dream come true. He's honestly a very, very talented singer and performer and I really look forward to the day when I can hear him sing live again!

Sungjong is honestly so much MORE handsome in real life than he is in videos/photos. I think because I also really liked the way his hair was styled on the day of the concert, he looked SO GOOD! He is a huge sweetie and honestly I think he's become a very good singer. He's come such a long way since Infinite's debut!

I always thought of Sungyeol as having a really silly and adorable personality, but honestly it didn't really come through during the concert. Maybe because of the language barrier, but he came across looking kinda serious every time I looked at him! At least he looked very cheerful during Infinite F's stage :D His "chase you to the end of this world" comment was legit hilarious though; I'm so glad I got to hear that famous statement in person with my own ears XD
He is an extremely, extremely handsome fellow though, I have to say. He's definitely the tallest of the bunch and his proportions are to die for! He looks like such a model :D

3) Despite Infinite putting on such an amazing show.. my whole experience did come with some disappointments, mostly in the organizer company "Dilemma".

Exhibit A: no merchandise, no special VIP gifts

We were extremely disappointed with how they handled the whole thing. Apparently they already knew a day before the concert that they goods would not make it to the venue. However, they still decided to NOT let any of us VIPs know and just made us stand in an empty hallway for half an hour while they tried to come up with an excuse/put off explaining the situation to us. If they knew there was a problem, they should have told us ahead of time and tried to compensate us with some sort of event - I heard some people say that Infinite/Woollim wanted to do a high-touch event but they couldn't get it organized in time... It feels really unfair that as VIP ticket holders, we paid almost an extra $100 from the next tier down of tickets to receive only the VIP lanyard/tag and earlier entrance in the venue (uh not to shop for merchandise, but to stand around doing nothing apparently...). Supposedly the merchandise was under the responsibility of Woollim, and Infinite + their staff had brought it with them when they flew over here from Korea, but it got stuck in customs, and for whatever reason, it didn't come out. Still though, if the organizing company was aware of the issues, they should have tried to do something about it. After the show, a bunch of the VIPs (including myself) sent angry messages to Dilemma and they said that they will get special signed posters from Woollim and mail them out to us individually (after we fill out a form) after they receive them. I honestly don't know if this promise will be fulfilled, but I guess I'll keep you guys updated.

Another thing that I feel disappointed about is not buying more fansite master merchandise! I didn't want to spend too much money outside the venue because I wanted to make sure I had enough to buy as much merchandise as I wanted. If we had known there was a problem with the merchandise beforehand, I would have bought a Woohyun package too :/ It was too late to buy this merchandise after we had already found out... *sigh*....

Exhibit B: no blockade between VIP & non-VIP attendees, artist interaction opportunities unfairly taken from people who paid more for their concert tickets

Another problem we faced was people sitting behind us at the venue (and non-VIPs) barging through and taking our spots at the front of the stage. The VIP rows should have been blocked off with ropes or something to designate places for the VIP ticket holders vs non-VIP ticket holders. Halfway through the concert, there was this girl who appeared beside of me and started screaming "MYUNGSOO OPPA! L!! L OPPA!! MYUNGSOO!!!" the entire time she stood there. Of course, she didn't leave until the end because she had barged her way up there. I honestly don't remember if she was wearing a VIP lanyard or not, but I feel like she wasn't. It was so unfair that she ended up getting VIP benefits without paying the VIP price and getting the VIP tickets like we did. That was honestly enough to make me feel a little bit sour about the experience afterwards. I hated that this person who only came to the concert to scream and try to get attention from her bias was standing next to me (probably in a spot she didn't belong in anyway), instead of enjoying their music. I'm not sure what other people attend concerts to do, but when I go to a concert, I go there to listen to the music, watch the artist perform and enjoy the atmosphere. With her right beside my ear, she definitely disrupted me from doing what I went there to do.
Luckily, my friend and I secured our spots at the front of the stage, but I feel horrible for those VIPs who got their spots taken and were pushed to the back. The whole situation was just really, really unfair.

-----

Despite everything that happened, though, it was honestly an amazing and unforgettable experience.
This is only my second official concert. I saw VIXX, Rainbow and a couple other groups at this small outdoor concert "Feel Korea" in 2013 - it wasn't really an official concert - and I saw Epik High in June 2015 so I don't have much experience attending concerts. But as Infinite is absolutely my favourite group ever, I really couldn't ask for much more. They announced that they would come, they came, they put on a fantastic show and left me breathless. Now this memory will be engraved in my mind forever.

Thank you for everything, Infinite. Stay safe, healthy and finish the rest of your tour up safely & happily.

Until the next time we meet, I'll continue supporting you like I've done these past 5 years and continue being your fan. We'll be Infinite & Inspirit together forever :)

Edit/Update Jan17/16

One last reflection I'd like to add is that the amazing Facebook fanpage (found here) has helped me make friends with so many Vancouver Inspirits, and people from different places who also attended the concert. We're still keeping in touch and posting lots about Infinite on the page, and it's really been such a pleasure. I never knew there were so many Inspirits in the same city as me! There were around ~2000 people who attended the concert, from what I heard, and it's just been so much fun interacting with people who have the same interests :)
